In order to expand API capacity for current and new products, Novo Nordisk has committed over USD 2 billion for the construction of a greenfield API facility in Clayton, North Carolina. The new plant represents Novo Nordisk’s largest investment in the company’s history as well as its first expansion of API production capacity outside of Denmark.
To successfully execute a project of this scope, Novo Nordisk needed a strong partner able to both provide engineering consultancy as well as owner's representative services, making collaboration with NNE a natural choice. NNE works alongside Novo Nordisk employees in many functions within the project including: Engineering, Process, EPCM and Automation, with the combined knowledge and resources of the global NNE organization behind them.
