Corporate social responsibility

We believe in CSR with a focus on environmental, social and financial responsibility. We aim to secure professional engineering and consultancy services with high levels of reliability and compliance. This means that we continuously strive to integrate and improve health, safety and environmental (HSE) considerations into our services and business processes, and that we report on NNE’s triple bottom line efforts.

Social

At NNE we work hard to provide a positive and healthy working environment for our employees. We support diversity and equal opportunities for all, as well as the education of engineers via close collaboration with universities, PhD positions and internal education.

Environmental

When it comes to the environment, we believe that sourcing, resource efficiency, and developing the right competencies are key. We support CO2 reduction by commuting together, conducting online meetings, and using environmentally friendly solutions when sourcing suppliers and vendors. In addition, we work hard to provide cutting edge sustainable design solutions for our customers and train our consultants in market-leading competencies within health, safety and the environment.

Financial

NNE delivers sustainable and competitive financial results. Our goal for 2021 is an operating profit margin of 10 percent. In 2020, we surpassed our goals with a record-high operating profit margin of 10.1 percent.

Partnership with Engineers without Borders Denmark

NNE is a Premium Member of Engineers without Borders Denmark, enabling us and you to help better the living conditions for some of the poorest communities in the world. As our core competencies lie within engineering knowledge, we believe it's a perfect match for us to support this organization and the technical-humanitarian projects they facilitate so that we, together with other donors, can make a difference and better the future of local communities around the world.

The Communication on Progress (COP) report is an annual sustainability report required by this membership.

Certifications and policies

NNE wants to ensure a systematic approach to our internal processes regarding quality, environment and occupational health and safety. Our customers also expect us to have the relevant management systems in place. NNE has maintained certificates on all three aspects for years. In our quality management system we have described and detailed procedures to ensure we maintain focus and continuously improve in all three aspects. Additionally, every year an external bureau performs an external audit to verify that we practice what we preach. The last audit was in September 2020 and NNE has once again managed to renew our certificates.

Supporting our customers' sustainability efforts

NNE offers consultancy and engineering services to help our customers bring down their carbon footprint and and increase circularity in their manufacturing processes.
