Notice on Recruitment Fraud

What is recruitement fraud?

Recruitment fraud is a scam that takes a number of forms. In all cases, an individual or organisation is posing as a legitimate company (such as NNE) for the purpose of fraudulently obtaining money or personal information from individuals. This fraud is normally carried out online and utilises combinations of the following: false websites, social media, instant messages, fake emails, fake virtual interviews, misappropriating a profile of a company recruiter, etc. These scams have recently become very sophisticated and convincing

How to identify Recruitment Fraud?

Be advised that NNE applicants are required to apply only via our applicant tracking system (nne.com/careers). Additionally, NNE only utilises one domain for email accounts (example@nne.com). During the selection process, we will require one or more interviews that are conducted either face-to-face or virtually with employees of the company. We do not conduct our interviews via a chat platform or conduct text-based interviews. Any offer of employment that is unsolicited and/or does not involve an interview process is likely to be fraudulent.

NNE would never ask you to provide money to be part of our recruitment process.

If you are being asked to pay to book travel as a part of an interview process, that is likely to be fraudulent. We do not ask prospective employees to undergo any form of paid trainings. If you are asked to pay money for any form of training, it will potentially be a fraudulent one. NNE does not ask the applicant for information related to bank accounts, credit cards, or other financial accounts prior to a signed, official offer letter of employment. If you are being asked for this information earlier in the process, it is likely to be fraudulent. NNE does not charge prospective employees with fees or request funding as part of the recruitment process.

What should I do if I have been defrauded or suspect that I am involved in a fraudulent recruitment process?

You may contact your local law enforcement agency for guidance if you have been defrauded or suspect identity theft as a result of an employment scam. Additionally, you may report any such behavior via our compliance portal.
