What's your view on the industry?

"There are a lot of opportunities to get more value out of obtained data - especially in pharma production, where a huge amount of data is stored and not necessarily used. Exploring and using this data for better control and optimization can lead to real-time release and manufacturing intelligence solutions. Relevant tools include Six Sigma statistics, simple visualization, more advanced multivariate data analysis, or machine learning techniques. However, this should not be implemented as black-box modelling, but in dialogue with Subject Matter Experts."

Why do you work in this business?

"To explore opportunities and help the pharma industry move towards a more data driven approach. Both the challenges and the financial incentive exist to get pharma into the Industry 4.0 domain."
